Ryan's First Birthday!!

A child's first birthday is such a special milestone to parents and being asked to photograph such a wonderful occasion is always a great honor. Family and friends gather to celebrate the first year of this little ones life and shower them with love and tons of presents!

Ryan's birthday celebration took place on a gorgeous sunny day. Everyone celebrated in the backyard while basking in the sun. The kids splashed water in the pool and blew bubbles in the wind while the adults enjoyed a BBQ. Fun was had by all and I needed a nap by the end of the festivities :)

Thank you Sara for allowing me to document such an important milestone in Ryan's life. I look forward to being able to witness his continuous growth. Happy Birthday Ryan!!

Love Patricia

CEED Networking and SEB Graduation

I have been so busy over the past few weeks that I have not found the time to update my blog! I was hired last month by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education & Development (CEED) to photograph a networking event and Self Employment Benefits Program (SEB) graduation. I am an SEB participant and have received an immense amount of help with my own business startup through this program which is affiliated with CEED here in Halifax. If anyone is looking to start their own business I would highly recommend the assistance of the amazing individuals at CEED! Opening a business can be a very overwhelming experience but with the help of everyone at CEED and their offered programs and workshops you can take an idea and quickly turn it into a reality!

The SEB participants that graduated from the program on this particular evening were some of the first graduates here in Halifax to finish this amazing program consisting of workshops, guidance and a lot of motivation from the folks at CEED.

The event was catered by the talented Jennifer Spalding of Culinary Inspiration. The food was mouth watering and absolutely delicious! If you're looking to hire a personal chef or someone to cater an event I would totally recommend hiring Jennifer. Not only was the food to die for but it was also very creative and different from anything else that I have had the pleasure of being served at a networking event.

So what makes a good business networking event? Well, great food and drinks of course and lots of entrepreneurs looking to make contacts, trade business cards and possibly drum up some business for themselves! Oh, and lots of laughs are very important as well.
